Our objective here at miniMOMist is to provide ideas, suggestions, stories and experiences with regards to living a more simplictic, minimalist life, while still being able to enjoy ourselves as a family. Minimalism is often looked upon as something that only young hip singles can achieve, and we want to show that just because you have a family doesn’t mean that you cannot pare down your life and still thoroughly enjoy it.
We draw from our own adventures in thriving with less, and the different tricks, tips and suggestions we come up with along the way. Nada has been practicing a frugal lifestyle for years and Michael spent several months living with the Franciscans of Halifax, a group of Catholic monks who follow the teachings of St. Francis of Asissi. Between the two of us, we have a good grasp on what is a need and what is a want, and we enjoy living our lives with less.
But writing it all down to share with you, does indeed take a lot of time and energy. As such, we believe it is valid that we receive some profit for our work. That is why we work with several wonderful affiliate programs from other bloggers and companies to promote their wares on our site. This provides us with some income and allows us to continue writing!
We want to assure you that everything you see or hear about on our blog is either from a source that we ourselves have tested and enjoyed, or they are from a source we trust implacably. We are commited to writing with integrity, and we want to not only earn, but keep, your trust.
